Playing it positively

Our lives have changed considerably in the past 9 months in ways we could never have imagined. Life became like a Hollywood movie where this ‘monster’ out there is threatening all our lives. However, we now have the knowledge that we need to pandemic-proof our classes and prepare for all eventualities and knowledge is power.
Blended learning has become a new norm and there are many benefits to on-line teaching and learning. At first, it was very strange and new for teachers, children and let’s not forget their parents.
Let’s put a positive spin on this situation and look at how our most loved and recognised teaching tools can be used in class or at home. We will consider ways of telling stories, playing games and doing songs and TPR that will also translate to the online classroom situation.

Le nostre vite sono cambiate in modo considerevole negli ultimi nove mesi in modi che non avremmo mai potuto immaginare. La vita è diventata un film di Hollywood in cui questo ‘mostro’ continua a minacciare le nostre esistenze. Tuttavia, adesso sappiamo come rendere le nostre lezioni a prova di pandemia e come prepararci per ogni eventualità, abbiamo la conoscenza per farlo.
L’insegnamento cosiddetto ‘blended’ è diventato la nuova regola e ci sono anche molti vantaggi nell’insegnamento e nell’apprendimento online. All’inizio è stato molto strano e nuovo per gli insegnanti, gli alunni e, non dimentichiamolo, anche per i genitori.
Diamo un impulso positivo a questa situazione e guardiamo a come gli strumenti didattici riconosciuti che preferiamo possono essere usati in classe o a casa. Considereremo modi di raccontare storie, svolgere giochi, canzoni e TPR che si tradurranno anche nella realtà delle lezioni con le classi online.
