Arnoud Arntz
Professor of Clinical Psychology and chair of the Department of Psychology at the University of Amsterdam, his main research interests lie in the fields of PTSD and personality disorders, both applied and fundamental. He is perhaps best known for his contributions to the development of and research into Schema Therapy and Imagery Rescripting. He also practices as a therapist at PsyQ in Amsterdam, where he treats patients with trauma and personality disorders. He is a former editor of the Journal of Behavior Therapy and Experimental Psychiatry.
Duccio Baroni
Cognitive-Behavioral psychotherapist, he treats personality disorders in individual and couple setting with special interest in third-generation approaches such as Contextual Schema Therapy, CFT and ACT. He received his PhD in Clinical Sciences at the University of Florence. Author of scientific publications in national and international journals, he is a lecturer at the school of psychotherapy of the Institute of Behavioral and Cognitive Psychology and Psychotherapy (IPSICO) in Florence. He is a member of the Italian Society of Schema Therapy (SIST), the Italian Association of Social Anxiety Disorders (AIDAS) and the Center of Excellence for Social Anxiety Disorders (CEDAS) in Florence.
David Bernstein
Considered one of the leading experts in Schema Therapy and Antisocial Personality Disorder Therapy, he is Vice President of the International Society for Schema Therapy (ISST). He is engaged in research studies concerning Schema Therapy in the penitentiary field.
Jeff Conway
Current President of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). He is a founding member of the ISST and has served in several roles for the ISST since its foundation. His previous Executive Board position was Training Coordinator from 2018-2020. He continues to be a Schema Therapy Trainer and Supervisor and has cultivated a training niche for understanding and effectively treating the Enmeshment and Undeveloped Self Schema. He has written about this schema and provided several workshops and supervision groups on this topic throughout the world.
Harold Dadomo
Specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, he has been studying the biological and physiological foundations of human behavior, by exploring, in particular, how psychotherapy can influence both the patient’s physiology and biology. Coordinator of research projects of the Italian Society of Schema Therapy, he also collaborates with the University of Parma, and has his own private practice.
Joan Farrell
Clinical psychologist and an advanced level Schema Therapist and Trainer/Supervisor. She co-directs the Schema Therapy Institute Midwest-Indianapolis. The Indianapolis Center specializes in Group Schema therapy. She was elected Executive Board Member and Coordinator for Training & Certification of the International Society for Schema Therapy (ISST) 2012-2018. She was awarded an Honorary Lifetime membership by the ISST in 2018. Her work with Ida Shaw integrated their complementary cognitive and experiential treatment approaches with social learning and developmental psychology theory to develop a group treatment model for Schema Therapy (ST).
Scott Kellogg
ISST-certified Advanced Schema Therapist who has also received training in both Gestalt Therapy and Voice Dialogue. He created the Transformational Chairwork Psychotherapy Project in 2008 and currently teaches this method of psychotherapeutic dialogue to practitioners in both the United States and abroad. In 2023 he and Amanda Garcia Torres, LMHC, his training partner and collaborator, launched the Chairwork Psychotherapy Initiative – the first international Chairwork Psychotherapy Certification Program.
Elizabeth Lacy
Emotion Focused Couples Therapist, she has an Advanced Certification in Schema Therapy and is a member of the International Society for Schema Therapy, having served on the ISST's Board subcommittee for Supervisor Training, and currently serves on the Appeals for Ethics Committee. She contributes to professional publications and develops and implements training programs for the NY/NJ Schema Institute, private practices throughout the Tristate area, NASW and Orange County Trauma Task Force among others in the USA. Throughout her esteemed career in service, she has worked in hospitals and substance use treatment programs, served as clinical director for an HIV service organization and been a clinical supervisor for a NYC Sex Addiction Treatment Center.
Cristof Loose
Clinical Psychologist, Psychotherapist for Children and Adolescents (CBT), he works in his own Private Practice in Dusseldorf, affiliated with the Heinrich-Heine-University, Department of Clinical Psychology, Germany. Involved in research activity, e.g. in ST-CA (Development of Schema-Questionnaire for Children (DISC), he is Chair of the subcommittee Working Group in ST-CA 2013-2017, since 2013 he has been an advanced-level certified trainer and supervisor (ISST e.V.). He is an editor and author of ST-CA books and Video-Learning (DVD), and conducts workshops and seminars in Schema Therapy for Children, Adolescents and Parents worldwide.
Ambra Malentacchi
Clinical psychologist and psychotherapist, advanced schema therapist, lecturer and supervisor recognized by the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). She is a founding member of the Italian Society of Schema Therapy, ISST member, CBT-Italy member and co-director of Training in Schema Therapy (IPSICO). She is also certified in compassion focused therapy, and integrates the most effective approaches in individual clinical work, dealing in particular with personality disorders.
Alessandra Mancini
Cognitive-behavioral psychotherapist with Ph.D. in cognitive and social neuroscience. She conducts clinical, teaching and research activities. She is Director of Training of the Italian Academy of Schema Therapy (IAST) and a founding member. Alessandra is supervisor and trainer in Schema Therapy (recognized by ISST), she lives and works in Berlin, where she regularly conducts clinical activity face-to-face and online, in Italian and English. She is a lecturer at the APC and SPC Schools and author of several scientific publications.
Nicola Marsigli
Psychologist and specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. He is certified in Schema Therapy and is a member of the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). Director of teaching, he is a lecturer and supervisor for the School of Psychotherapy of the Institute of Psychology and Behavioral and Cognitive Psychotherapy of Florence (IPSICO).
Eshkol Rafaeli
Professor of clinical psychology at Bar-Ilan University where he directs the Affect and Relationships Lab. In recent years he has increasingly turned to the study of psychotherapy processes; at present, these involve a treatment personalization study of single session interventions and a study examining changes in self-structure surrounding brief imagery-based CBT for anxiety, in collaboration with colleagues at Trier University. Eshkol is the co-author of the 2010 Routledge book on Distinctive Features of Schema Therapy. He continues to be very interested in using, teaching, supervising and researching this approach.
Eckhard Roediger
Neurologist, psychiatrist and psychotherapist. Trained in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavior therapy. Formerly Director of the Psychosomatic Department at a clinic in Berlin (GER), since 2007 he has been working in Private Practice, and is Director of the Schema Therapy Training Center in Frankfurt (GER). Member of the ISST Board since 2008, former President and now honorary member. Author of books on schema therapy for couples and on integrating an ACT-perspective in Schema Therapy.
Elena Rosin
Clinical psychologist and cognitive behavioral psychotherapist, EMDR therapist, teacher and supervisor of Schema Therapy certified by the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). She is co-director of Training in Schema Therapy (IPSICO). She works as a freelancer in the province of Treviso and online. She mainly deals with relationship difficulties, anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, personality disorders, and issues that do not respond to standard treatments.
Patricia Rotman Escudero
Dr. Escudero Rotman is a Clinical Psychologist with more than 25 years of experience in our field . She began her Schema Therapy training in 2004 in New York City with Dr. Jeffrey Young, Wendy Behary, Joan Farrell, Ida Shaw and Scott Kellogg. When living in New York City, she participated in a weekly peer supervision group (that included Jeff Conway, Marsha Blank, Travis Atkinson, Scott Kellogg and Janet Klosko). Her participation in this peer supervision group helped her to further refine her Schema Therapy clinical skills. She is the founder and director of the Argentinian-American Schema Therapy Institute. And an Assistant professor at the school of medicine at Mount Sinai hospital in New York City . She founded the Schema Therapy program and teaches ST to the residents in psychiatry. Her active participation in the Schema Therapy Community allows her to continue learning from experts such as Wendy Behary and Joan Farrell. She co-founded the ISST Trauma SIG, and has been coordinating this group since 2016. She has training in several therapeutic approaches (e.g. DBT, Compassion Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic therapies), but has specialized in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Schema Therapy.

Filippo Tinelli
Psychotherapist trained in systemic relational therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. He specialized in Schema Therapy and became a supervisor certified by the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST). He is in charge of the Schema Therapy center in Parma.
Remco Van Der Wijngaart
Psychotherapist in a private practice in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Initially trained in CBT, he was later trained and supervised in schema therapy by Jeffrey Young, with imagery rescripting as one of the most frequently used techniques in this therapy model. Since 2000 he has been giving accredited courses in schema therapy worldwide. He has produced and directed several videos on the subject.
